Students may also enter the library to receive Chromebook help from the IT Site Manager.

To LOG IN to the student PERSONAL RECORD on Follett Destiny circulation system:
-Go to https://mbusd.follettdestiny.com
-Under the "Middle Schools" Section, click "Manhattan Beach Middle School" to enter the MBMS Catalog site.
-On the Catalog screen, click LOG IN at the top right of the Manhattan Beach Middle School (MBMS) screen.
User Name = Student ID number
Password = destiny (same password for all students)
-You can check that you are in YOUR library record by looking for your name in the upper right corner of the screen.
-Click on the MY INFO tab in the upper left of the screen to see your library record, including items checked out (library books, textbooks, devices), due dates of check-outs, if you have overdue items, and if there is a fine on the record.

*For 8th grade students and parents, please be advised that the student library record will follow your child to Mira Costa. All issues (overdues, fines/fees, ec.) will remain on the student record until resolved. Your student may experience a delay in obtaining high school textbooks until unresolved library issues are settled.

After April 19, 2021, the MBMS Librarian returned to campus to support students and teachers in classrooms, with continued support for distance learners.
The virtual library Zoom Office Hours were suspended after 4/19/21. The Zoom meeting info below is not active but left on the page 'in case' we need to start that platform again quickly.

Virtual Office Hours will not be held during school holidays (Thanksgiving, Winter Break, Ski Week, Spring Break, etc.)
