Mauritius Vacation 2015

BACKGROUND

During our 2014 Southern Africa Adventure trip, we were visiting good friends in Gaborone, Botswana, who had a strong network of friends & associates all over the continent.

We shared our plans of spending 4 to 6 weeks touring Mozambique on our return to South Africa. They asked if we would consider going to Mauritius as they have friends in Botswana who have a house they rent out on the North Eastern side on the Island. If we could do this at the right daily price that we were going to spend in Mozambique, were we on. We met our contacts, Marie & Roger Damp, over drinks and negotiated a great price.

After Gaborone, we returned to our home in Centurion and prepared for our trip to Mauritius.

The Plan

We decided to spend Christmas with my parents and family members in Kirkwood, Eastern Cape and depart for Mauritius on 15 January 2015 for a 6 week vacation.
