This is was a personal project that I did for fun. I wanted to create a bridge of my own starship because I enjoy science fiction like Star Trek, but I wanted it to have a midcentury feel, because I’ve always been drawn to that era visually. The first 2 images on the left and the top right image were done before I started college. I was experimenting with shaping and color language. The fourth image was done during my first month of college using tools learned in my digital paint class. Here I wanted to improve upon rendering and clarity. The images below were made much later after I took the 3D modelling course at the end of my first year of college. Before that class I had no skill with 3D modelling, and I wanted to challenge myself to take my fourth drawing and create it in an actual 3D environment. When considering that It was a completely new skill, I’m incredibly proud of the final results.
Above are the individual computer components modeled before arranging them in the final space. Below are the pieces arranged before adding the final walls, ceiling, and floor.
Below are renders of the final space. The first image was made as I was still arranging the machinery while the others are complete renders. That being said I later added a grid texture to the ground because I thought It made the overall space look better.
