2020

Tapped out on February 17 (very mild winter, little snow and no cold temperatures)

All taps are on 3/16" tubing this year no bags.

March 3 biggest run ever - 180 gallons in the morning and 155 in the afternoon (had to leave 50 gallons in the woods) total of 385 gallons in 24 hours 3.25 per tap

Finished collecting on March 5th 1860 gallons and 32.5 gallons of finished syrup. Good mix of Golden through Dark. Averaged 58:1 sap to syrup which is the best we have had in many years. I believe it has a lot to do with all the Ash trees that have died opening up the canopy and letting more light in.

Sap is still flowing well and left the taps in for a friend who is not having a good year. As of March 12th an additional 950 gallons has flowed.

This was the shortest, full crop season in 21 years. the season lasted 16 days from first collection to last.
