Denotation: Selah is a call for rest in the book of Psalms. It's a pause in musical note and is widely interpreted to indicate a moment of rest and contemplation in the presence of God.  This unidentified figure opens up the opportunity for this figure to be anyone even the viewer themselves because anyone is welcome to call on the Lord.
