Mariel Martin

Introduction: 

My name is Mariel Martin, I am a Special Education Major with an ESL minor.  I have always wanted to be a teacher and help students. In my Sophomore year of High School, I found my passion for supporting students with special needs. I have a brother who has Autism, I have seen him grow because of the support from teachers and advisors.  My passion for teaching Special Education started when I realized the impact that my brother's teachers had on him. I have also volunteered with the special needs program at Wheaton College Church and with Special Olympics Illinios. The friends I made taught me to love, because they showed me that everyone is unique and smart in thier own way!
