World Environment Day: Advancing pharmacy for a more sustainable world

Attendance an online digital event on Jun. 05, 2024 entitled “World Environment Day: Advancing pharmacy for a more sustainable world”. The event was offered by International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP). 

Description: World Environment Day, on 5 June, is celebrated annually to increase knowledge and take action on pivotal issues to make a favorable effect on the environment. In realization of World Environment Day 2024, entitled 'Land restoration, desertification and drought resilience', FIP offered an event to search deeper into the pharmacists’ function in identifying the universal pressing environmental obstacles. The event included discussions on the environmental effect of the pharmaceutical section, sustainable exercises in pharmacy operations, and the function of pharmacists in encouraging well-being and environmental health.

Learning objectives: 

1. Underline the function of pharmacists on the decrease and mitigation of the environmental effect of the pharmaceutical section globally; 

2. Discover the effect of environmental policies concerning sustainable pharmacy practice; 

3. Recognize how to encourage sustainability on the pharmaceutical section.
