Is your Cricut EasyPress showing an E5 error? This can happen while you are pressing a T-shirt or a tote bag, and suddenly the machine stops working. The E5 error indicates a problem with the temperature. But here are a few easy fixes to resolve this:
Turn Off the Cricut Easypress
When you see an E5 error code on your EasyPress machine, turn it off right away. By doing so, you can prevent the machine from overheating later.
Press the power button on the press to turn it off.
Remove the power cord from the outlet.
Leave the press idle for 15 to 30 minutes; it’ll cool during that time.
Check the Power Outlet
Sometimes, the problem is with the power source, so you must:
Plug another device into the same power outlet.
Check if the machine works properly.
Note: Do not use extension cords (if you are using them), as they may cause voltage fluctuations.
Restart the Machine Properly
Once the EasyPress cools down, you can turn it back on. Here’s how to do it the right way:
Plug the press back into the outlet.
Press the power button to start it.
Set the press to a low temperature and check if it heats normally.
Wait a few minutes.
If the E5 error still shows, restart your project. Also, check if the power cord is damaged.
