Happy to see you wanted to know more about me! Well then, I'm Max, born 2002 and I've been playing games for as long as I can remember! It started off with taking my Nintendo DS with me on vacations and playing all of the Mario and Luigi RPG Games! Perhaps that's where my adoration for story written games comes from.
I'm currently following a study Game Design at the HKU, which has been pretty interesting to say the least. It's taught me more on how to steer my own creativity and what I like to make. I've learned that using design documents can stimulate my creativity, as well as speaking with other people about it. It's also made me realize that I think in a very interesting way. Aside from often just being a bit of a jokey punny person, I often prefer to think out loud and let the inspirationg come to me as I'm speaking.
My biggest reason to become a Game Designer is because I've always wanted to persue something creatively. I want to tell a story and influence the world with my thoughts and ideas in a captivating, deeply thought out way. I'm not sure how to yet, but it's a dream I can't persue if I don't start somewhere!
I don't often have a specific way of working, but I do know one thing. If I'm interested in what we are making, I'm going to be way more involved in it. If it's something I'm not too eager to make, for example making a game entirely about the city of Utrecht, I'm just going to see what I have to do to complete that objective. This can work in my favor, but obviously I'd rather enjoy what I'm making.
I tend to be the best at brainstorming when I'm talking about the concept with others, it really motivates me to think outside the box, yet to not make the concept too big. Just throwing lots of stuff out there and seeing what sticks! When I need to work something out I prefer to be on my own however.
I obviously have some hobbies, inspirations and things I'm interested in! I will seperate the Game Design topics from the rest for your reading convenience!
Game Design Interests
When it comes to Game Design, I very much like the Level Design and puzzle design segments. I enjoy making challenging puzzles using the game mechanics that the other designers have come up with.
I enjoy writing an interesting narrative. However this takes time, which I don't really have with my current education. I wouldn't mind taking a longer time after school to write an interesting narrative for my own.
I enjoy helping people with their brainstorming process, perhaps it's just because I feel like I'm being very helpfull? I don't know I just enjoy it :p
Different Interests & Hobbies
I enjoy writing and producing a little music! I made a little extra tab especially for this hobby, because I might actually want to persue something musically in the future.
I enjoy writing in my free time. Sometimes this will be for music, but I've also made a whole narrative universe with a Canadian friend of mine. With multiple characters that all have their own characteristics and origin stories. This writing is usually more winging it, and it really shaped the way I write today!
Game Design Inspirations
The biggest inspiration that made me want to become a game designer has definitely been the mario and luigi rpgs. Not just because of the feeling of progressing through a story in which anyting could happen, but also because of the idea of giving people such nostalgic feelings with something I would've created.
There another few games that made me want to become a Game Designer, or even want me to dive deeper into certain sections of Game Designing. These include titles like Hollow Knight, The Binding of Isaac, Minecraft, Bloons Tower Defense, Hades and Plants vs Zombies.
Different Inspirations
When it comes to my love for music, it all really started when I listened to the rapper Juice Wrld. His melodies and deep lyrics were something I hadn't heard before. To have such honesty in your words and to not shy away from anything inspired me to want to make music myself.
As for the writing, I already told you what my inspiration was. The first time I started writing stories with my friend I couldn't have thought it would grow to as large a scale as it did. Along with wanting to write my own stories from the mario rpgs it became a hobby of mine :)
As a Game Designer, I have a decently sides set of skills that I can use both for Game Designing and other uses! However, I also have a decently sized list of things I would like to learn, or become better at. Again as I did with my interests, hobbies and inspirations, I will divide them into sections to make them easier to read.
Hard Skills are the things I feel I have above average experience in, and I feel confident in using said skills.
Soft Skills are more things I've done a few times. However these are still things I feel like can be of use.

I want to learn to make a working UI and UX, I've made a UI only once and it wasn't the best.
I want to become better at putting Audio into Unity, learning how to make a proper soundmanager, since the last one I made was not too functional.
I want to improve in dressing up my levels to include more game feel. I want to deepen myself in visual story telling.
