The Wildland Fire Learning Portal is the platform used to manage, deliver, and evaluate wildland fire training or learning activities and to provide interactive content for training delivery. It is the source location for wildland fire training both in-person and virtual throughout the United States sponsored by Federal regional training centers and facilities. It offers training from basic wildland fire introduction courses to advanced national training programs.
In order to enter the Portal, users need to create a username and password.
All geographic area training centers use the learning portal to post course schedules, selection rosters, and logistical information pertinent to their training centers. The National Advanced Fire and Resource Institute (NAFRI), the Prescribed Fire Training Center (PFTC), and the Wildland Firefighter Apprenticeship Program (WFAP), are also using the learning portal.
How do I find information on an Upcoming Course in the Learning Portal? Click on "Find Learning" and then click on "Upcoming Courses". This will bring up a search box where you can enter a phrase to describe what you are looking for. To refine your search, filter by Training Center, Geographic Area, or Zone. If you do not find what you are looking for, click on "Find Learning" and then "Courses" and follow the same method to search for courses. If you still do not find what you are looking for, check back at a later dates as courses are continually added and updated.
If you do not yet have an account, you will need to create one. Everyone who plans to attend wildland fire training will need a user account (profile) to register for courses and access course information and content.
