After the deletion of my school channel at the end of 2017, I decided to create another channel with plans to upload a variety of content. The channel was created in April, 2018  called "Mackenzie H". I then uploaded over 2018 and 2019 after teaching myself video editing using Clipchamp. During 2020, I started creating many more videos than the past 2 years combined, making 2020 one of my most productive years on YouTube with videos well into the hundreds made that year, however, a majority of these videos have been private. In early 2021, I decided to stop making videos and step away from social media for a while. During this time, I started learning guitar and around early to mid 2021, started recording covers of songs from my phone and releasing them on a music account on Instagram. After many years of inactivity after creating my Music Account on YouTube, I decided to rebrand this channel as "Mackenzie H Live" with the plan to upload footage of me live from both music performances and twitch stream VODs. 

After months of uploading covers onto my Instagram account for music and my 2 and a half hour music live stream on the Mackenzie H channel, I wanted to create another channel dedicated to music. From the start, I wanted to have a majority of the layout and video style figured out and wanted to commit to it with every upload. In September, 2021, I created "Mackenzie H Music". When I started the channel, I decided to not do what I did with my last channel and didn't tell anyone. I wanted to start fresh. I only started to tell people about it during the release of my first cover album, "Your City Made Me Boring." I continued to upload videos onto that channel until I announced my semi-retirement/hiatus on Christmas Day in 2023 with my final cover in Greymouth being released on the day me and my wife moved to Ashburton.

Previously titled "Mackenzie H Talks", this channel was created and left unused for over a year. So I decided to take all of the songs from my official releases and upload them individually onto this channel. That's all it's for.
