In mid 2021, I started going to monthly open mics more regularly at various bars and restaurants to perform and to get acquainted with the west coast music scene. Shortly after, in early 2022, I began doing hour long gigs at the former bar, Hopaholics until the bars closure later that same year. Woodstock Greymouth was another bar and restaurant that started doing regular open mics after Hopaholics closed and I would frequent there as well, becoming more and more acquainted with the west coast music scene.

In addition to doing performances at open mics at bars and restaurants around Greymouth such as Hopaholics and Woodstock, during 2022 and 2023, I did 3 hour gigs at Monteith's Brewery in Greymouth. These gigs would normally be a similar setlist each time, throwing in some songs I had recently learned or wanted to sing in particular. An example of this kind of setlist can be found below as well as a audio recording of one of these gigs in the video demonstrations. These gigs were done in addition to continuing to go to the open mics hosted by Woodstock, eventually landing me the self-proclaimed title of Youngest Professional Musician in Greymouth until my departure from Greymouth in early 2024.

After moving to Ashburton in early 2024, I started doing busking outside of Coupland's Bakery and Joe's Garage. I did this for quite a while up until recently. During this time, I was also reaching out to various bars, pubs, and restaurants to play gigs at their establishments. In May 2025, I started doing regular monthly performances at Rosebank Lifecare Village for their residents as well as other one off performances at other retirement and lifecare villages.
