A Message of ReconciliACTION Through Code
Students will learn about the life of Chanie Wenjack through Gord Downie’s Secret Path animated movie. Students will then create messages of ReconciliACTION using text, images, animation, and the music of Gord Downie. LYNX text-based coding will provide the platform for students to express their creativity.
Students (grades 5 and up) will code a multimedia story about Chanie Wenjack.
Students will code the computer to:
Create, and speak, text boxes
Animate characters
Navigate pages with buttons
Create backgrounds and sounds
Write procedures
Grades: 5 - 12
Time: Approximately 4 60-minute sessions
