Make a Good Deeds Manger:

Throughout the season of Advent we are called to wait. We are also called to prepare our hearts for the coming of Jesus. We can prepare our hearts for when he comes by pausing to think about the ways in which we live out our faith in service to one another and by living out our faith through the good that we do. We can be more compassionate, more patient, more loving, we can also seek forgiveness and we can forgive others.

Similar to a good deeds jar, one tradition that families can do together is make a good deeds manger. Click here for more information on making a good deeds manger. Begin simply with the empty manger, and each time a good deed is done, fill the manger with a piece of hay. As you journey through Advent, the manger will be ready - just like our hearts - to welcome the tiny baby.
