Fourth Week of Advent

Advent Saints:

Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini was a founder of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart. She was born in Sant'Angelo, Lodigiano, Lombardy, Italy on July 15th, 1850. Committed to a life of evangelization and mission, she came to the United States to help Italian migrants who were seeking a better future. She dedicated her life to charitable works, setting up homes and hospices in Europe and the United States. She died on December 22nd, 1917 in Chicago - in one of the homes she built for migrants.
