The postman is a familiar person. We can recognize him from his dress and appearance. His bag is full of letters, parcels and packets.
The postman is always up and moving during his hours of duty. His work is routine, dull and boring. Yet he does it cheerfully. We always find him polite and helpful.
His work is hard. He has to visit a number of buildings. He has to climb up and down the stairs. No one knows the people and the buildings in a locality better than the postman.
The postman is, indeed, very useful to us. Very few public servants are as important as him. He is a part and parcel our daily life.
In spite of his hard-work, the postman gets less salary. He is one of the lowest paid government servants. His lot deserves to be improved.
