The Slash n' Slice Update

The glorious Infinity Blade has arrived, along with a huge upgrade to the Storm!

Gameplay Updates

Added the Infinity Blade 

Nerfs:

   • Cannot drop item 

   • Nerfed damage (0.9x) 

   • Reduced move speed (0.85x) 

   • Slowly take damage over time while holding

Buffs:

   • Full siphon on elimination

Loot Pool Changes

Added

   • Shockwave Hammer (Epic Only)

   • Recycler

   • Firefly Jar

   • Mammoth Pistol (with v3.01)

Removed

   • Scoped Revolver (with v3.01)

Added Accolades

Battle Mod Balance Changes 

Bullet Amp

   • Lowered damage boost to 1.15x. 

Starting Loadout

   • Replaced Combat Pistol with a Common Sword. 

   • Replaced Grenades with Impulse Grenades (3x)  

Master Builder

   • Lowered Material Cap to 200. (Down from 350).

Revitalized

   • Lowered healing rate.

Battle Mod Bug Fixe

   • Fixed an issue where the Medic was being displayed as Looter in the Battle Mod Menu. 

   • Fixed an issue where extra healing would not drop for the Medic Mod. 

   • Fixed an issue where certain Battle Mods would increase mat cap to 999. 

Battle Mod Balance Change Dev Commentary

Battle Mods are either very powerful or incredibly weak, so I've chosen to nerf the strong ones with this update. I'll be looking into buffs with v3.2, however I need some time to see which ones actually need a buff.

Storm Update

The storm now closes with three phases. Each phase gets progressively faster and deals more damage. 

   • Phase 1

      • Radius - 900/1500 (Depends on Storm Beacon, usually will be 1150.)

      • 2 minute delay

      • 2 minute shrink time

      • 2 damage per tick

   • Phase 2

      • Radius - 500

      • 1 minute delay

      • 2 minute shrink

      • 7 damage per tick

   • Phase 3

      • Radius - 150

      • 1 minute delay

      • 1.5 minute shrink

      • 15 damage per tick

   • Post Phase 3

      • Radius - 150

      • Storm will not move from this point onward.

      • Players begin to slowly take 1 damage per second when outside of the Storm.

      • 15 Damage Per Tick

Storm Update Developer Commentary

With the Storm Update, I'm aiming to speed up matches, making sure there's much less downtime and much more active fighting. I'll be tweaking the storm for the next few weeks, trying to find what works well. Please post any feedback you have, it helps a lot!

Map Updates

Vibrant Villa QoL Updates

• A landslide has occured on the northern edge, allowing for easy rotation onto the POI.

• Excavation efforts to restore the road on the southeast edge of the POI have begun. Ziplines can be found leading up onto the POI.

Forever Fortress Update

• Added palm trees on the sandy edge.

Griffins Glen

• Fixed an issue where the floor could be destroyed, taking you underneath the map.

Misc

• Added cities to the background mountains.

• Fixed Mysterious Crystal HLODs. They should no longer be purple from a distance.
