About Us

Safer Roads is the backbone team of traffic officers focusing on a robust response to driver licensing, speeding, vehicle anti-social behaviour, and taking a primary role in pursuits. This is by remaining highly visible, and dealing with people through means of strong words of advice, issuing driving licence points or S.59 warnings, or requesting driver bans or vehicle seizures from the courts.

• Proactive enforcement in areas of high road crime

• Interoperability with other emergency services

• Actioning Road Crime Team (RCT) targets
