Be a substantive constable or higher in the Roads Policing Unit having passed the probationary period.
A recommendation from your Team Leader.
Pass a series of Time Trials.
A maximum of 2 Trial's may run concurrently at any one time.
Interceptors must always be double crewed unless driven by an Advanced Interceptor Driver.
A MAXIMUM of 2 Interceptors may be deployed at any one time, however it MUST be restricted to 1 per pursuit / incident unless TACAD or RPU Command request assistance then 2 can be assigned in the same pursuit.
RPU Command can authorise the third Interceptor where there is an operational need.
The Unmarked Interceptor does not count towards the 2 Interceptor count
Where possible Interceptor drivers must remain in the vehicle and not engage in lengthy foot pursuits away from the vehicle if there are other units on scene.
A minimum of 2 Traffic or Advanced Driver cars must be on duty to deploy the Interceptor.
A Team of experienced Traffic Officers who've undertaken additional driver training to drive the Marked and Unmarked Oracle XS-LE. The team primarily focus on the safe conclusion of pursuits, and assisting in police operations through their unique capabilities.
Officers interested in becoming an Interceptor driver should register their interest with the Operations Sergeant.
Interceptor Progression Pathway -
Trial Interceptor; for new drivers to get experience behind the wheel in preparation for the Interceptor Test.
The Trial period lasts for up to 14 days, during which you will be able to drive Marked Oracle XS-LE Interceptor under supervision of a current Interceptor Driver before taking the test. The test can be taken anytime during the 14 day trial, however unsuccessful attempts will incur a 3 day cool-down.
Interceptor Driver; Able to drive the Marked Oracle XS-LE Interceptor.
After successfully passing the trials, you will be signed off as an Interceptor trained driver and able to double crew the Marked Oracle XS-LE Interceptor. The Interceptor must be double crewed at all times.
After a successful stint as an Interceptor Driver, you may be approached by RPU Command about progressing into an Advanced Interceptor Driver with the RAPTOR Team.

This unlocks access to the Unmarked Oracle XS-LE Interceptor, call-sign RPTR-1. This is the most powerful tool in the Roads Policing fleet.
Same rules apply with the Unmarked Oracle XS-LE Interceptor, there must be a minimum of 2 Traffic officers on duty and minimum 1 Marked Interceptor on Patrol.
Please ensure you wear a black vest in vehicle as this is unmarked.
