In recent months, various groups have been working with Cat, a music therapist from Nordoff and Robbins.
Most sessions start with Drum Circles, in which students follow the a rhythm and interject with their own solo patterns, which the other students then in turn imitate. Often sessions will evolve into multi-instrument jams with rich melodies and powerful rhythm sections in which students can express themselves and work together, creating beautiful music and developing their confidence in performing.
These sessions have been hugely beneficial for the students, generally improving their focus, and their ability to work in a team.
