Easter is a Christian Festival celebrated by Christians and non-Christians all around the world.
Easter is all about commemorating Jesus's Death and resurrection.
As Christians we believe that Jesus died for our sins so we can go to heaven.
A lot of people eat hot cross buns and especially easter eggs.
There are a lot of Easter celebrations and traditions all around the world
Lent
Fasting Rules: Early Lenten fasts were strict, generally allowing only one meal per day after 3 PM and prohibiting meat, fish, and dairy, as stated on Groundwork Bible Study.
This pilgrimage route runs through the quarter, commemorating the path Jesus walked to his crucifixion.
Lent was originally 36 days
It's been a custom for Catholics to give something up during Lent, in addition to the fasting and abstinence rules. Some keep their sacrifice continuously, but Sundays during Lent are not “prescribed days of fasting and abstinence.” Ultimately, it's a personal decision.
Sometimes overlapping with Ramadan, Lent brings a reflective atmosphere to the city Jerusalem, where fasting is widely practiced.
Participants receive ashes on their foreheads as a sign of mortality and repentance, often made from burning palm branches from the previous year’s Palm Sunday.
