Feed Me, I'm Hungry
My Secret Pet is a faerie who attaches themself to children who want to raise a pet while their parents disallow it. The faerie will select a parent, and adhere itself to them, and making their parent feel the need to care for them. They gain vitality by being fed food by their parent (or others). If too long goes by without the parent feeding the gluttonous little faerie (which is based on how often the faerie is fed) it will seek out its parent to be fed. The Secret Pet will also use it's hunger breath to defend its parent - by making everyone else around ravenously hungry. The Secret Pet needs more food every single day, and it will grow larger and larger, increasing by around 1 size every season. Despite the increased size, the faerie only manifests when its parent is around, so it can 'hide' in a small copse of trees despite growing to ridiculous sizes that would normally not be reasonable for it to remain hidden in.
It's 'traditional ward' is eating food around it and not sharing.

The Secret Pet adheres itself to a single person, and considers them it's parent. It can always find them in case of trouble. It considers 'trouble' to mean it hasn't eaten recently, which must mean something terrible happened to its parent. It will seek them out secretly.

The Secret Pet can exhale a gaseous mass of delicious food-scents, which anyone breathing in will suddenly become very hungry. This isn't a mental lie; Those effected have their bodies nutrients suddenly converted to energy and vitality. They'll feel more alert, awake, possibly jittery. They will be overwhelmingly hungry.

Meeting the Secret Pet's eyes causes whatever primary emotion the target is feeling to change into a feeling of parental protection. The Secret Pet is... of course.. Very hungry. You should feed it.
