The Sweetest Little Thief

The Honey Princess sneaks in to mortal realms to steal honey back from the humans who have stole it from her people. If left unchecked, she will steal all of the honey in a farming community, but luckily her habit of sampling the honey will make one quite heavily drunk if mead is left out. This will keep the honey safe; Truly canny people can capture a honey princess, and free her in return for a jar of the sweetest honey man has tasted(Imaginem Vis), but this will earn her wrath directed against other farmers nearby if not careful.

Leaving honey mead out can distract the Honey Princess, which will cause her to fly off drunkenly. Also, those drunk on honey mead sometimes awaken to see her stealing their honey, though usually they can't stop it from happening. There is a story of a canny farmer's wife capturing a Honey Princess with a glass of mead surrounded by sticky honey-topped buns. The Honey Princess agreed to teach the farmer's son about nobility, but a the son became infatuated, and freed her and ran away with the tiny faerie, never seen again.

The flying Honey Princess is impossible to catch, as her swift and darting movements leave impressions and images of her in the wrong places (As Wizard's Sidestep). She is only actually at the location when landed.
