Harrods is a gigantic department store in Brompton Road in Knightsbridge. It is one of the largest and most famous department stores in Europe. The Harrods motto is "all things for all people, everywhere". The shop's 330 departments offer a wide range of products and services: clothing for women, men, children, electronics, jewellery, sporting gear, bridal clothes, pet accessories, toys, food, drink, health and beauty items, furniture. More than five thousand people from different countries work at Harrods. It was founded in 1834 by Charles Harry Harrod. In 1985 Mohammed Al-Fayed bought it and later selled Harrods to Qatar Holding. The building is made up of 8 plans and 300 departments; there are 146 lifts. The interiors are inspired at the Ancient Egypt, the exterior is illuminated from 11.300 lights at the entrace there are 10 doors. Near the stairs there is the statues of Dodi Al-Fayed and Lady Diana. Next to them there is a plaque with an inscription in their memory.
