Madame Tussaud's is one of the most famous wax museums in the world. It takes its name from Marie Tussaud, a young girl good at the art of wax modeling. She arrived in London in the early nineeteenth century and after her death, her waxworks became very admired. The museum was opened in 1958 by the Duke of Edinburgh. It hostes a large collection of wax figures inspired by famous people, among which: the members of the British Royal Family, pop stars, like Lady Gaga, actors and actresses, sport stars, historical figures, such as King Henry VIII, Geroge W. Bush, Hitler and Queen Elizabeth II. One of the main attractions of her museum was the Chambers of Horrors. This part of the exhibition included victims of the French Revolution and figures of murderers and other criminals. In addition, there are other attractions dedicated to tourists, such as the Planetarium, where you can simulate a journey into space.
