The National Gallery is in Trafalgar Square, which is one of the busiest tourist places in London. Founded in 1824, it houses more than 2,600 paintings of various eras. The National Gallery has one of the finest collections of European paintings in the world. The most important addition to the building in 1991 was the Sainsbury Wing, a postmodernist building. Among the most outstanding painters we find Leonardo Da Vonci, Botticelli, Constable, Turner, Seurat, Van Gogh.
