Bob Wybrow took over the Bubs Jamieson Orchestra when Bubs joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1942. They played at the Stork Club Port Stanley for two summers and also London Arena in the fall of 1942 and made several broadcasts from that location.
However as more band members joined the armed forces it became neccessary to disband in late 1943. The band had consisted of top musicians of the day and one, Eddie Graf, went on to become an international arranger for big bands and other musical groups. Bob Wybrow moved to Niagara Falls in 1946 where he led bands for many more years. Ater the war the band reassembled under the direction of Russ Mills.
