Frank Traher & His Orchestra

Frank Traher formed his band in 1947 and at the time was the only trombone player to front a band in London. A review of the time states that "Frank concentrates on good danceable tempos and his music is on the sweet syle, probably as a result of his many years with the Casa Royal Orchestra"

The orchestra played for the Annual London Musicians Ball at the London Arena in 1948 but the fate of the band after that is not known. Many years later his son Tyrone Traher was to organise and manage London's Big Band Festivals.
