Within Tanks vs. Robots, an independent event could be to draw a singular card or rolling a die. Future turns won't be affected if cycled through the event more than once. A way to incorporate this could be with the damage amount or the amount of times the robot or tanks would move, rotate, or shoot. Easily, with a roll of a die, whatever value you pull could be added or subtracted to the current action.
While with a related event, future events may be affected after drawing a card and not putting it back into the deck, for example. Though an idea I wanted to incorporate was to roll a die and when you get a certain value, you can't get it again. For the Tanks vs. Robots game specifically, I imagined each member in the game having an individual die. Each value they roll, they can use once for a specific task whether it be moving or shooting.
