I played a game called Moon Hunters, I bought it during the Steam Summer Sale and have been meaning to play it for awhile now. Looking at the steam page for it, it's been out for a few years, since March 10, 2016. So far, I really love the game! The visuals and art style in this game are very unique and beautiful, the art is primarily pixel but the detail doesn't go unnoticed. I like the different mechanics that the creators put into it, and I'll list them. This game includes action roguelike fighting where each character has a special skillset that helps them in battle monsters you find, differing in ability from large blasts, slowing, and so on depending on the character you choose at the beginning of the game. Speaking of which, I find each character to be very interesting and I like the customization you can do, along with where they were born. You can also play with up to four people, and an interesting part of the game would be the decision making, changing the story, along with contributing to your statistics system which includes hunting, strength, charm, and so on. Later on you can learn different abilities and unlock certain stories.
Overall, it's a visual novel with an amazing story with conflicts between tribes and interesting fighting as you explore and help solve problems. It's a great game to play with friends, and it puts you in a different world while being relaxing with its music and art creating an overall calming atmosphere. There are scenes that enhance the story and give you many characters to connect to and build relationships, especially with the involvement with decision-making. The whole premise being that these groups worship the Moon, and one day it disappears. The main line is, "how will you be remembered?" I plan on continuing the game with my friend when I get the chance, but I would definitely recommend this game.

When I opened the game it felt very exciting with the visuals and the music. Started off very strangely. You could make decisions on the story to change it and the spacing was done weirdly but it made sense, I'm thinking that's what they were going for. The story didn't connect right to me though, but it feels as though it was important to the plot. Then when I got to the actual game, I thought the art graphics were very cute and had a nice special style to it. My inner completionist shined as I felt the need to examine everything in the different rooms, haha. Thinking about it now, before playing I heard one of the iconic songs and liked it, I didn't get to hear it until later on in the game. Also, my cousin recommends this game and seems to have liked it a lot! I can see why. Oh, then the animations and interactions... I love it, it has a nice touch. The interaction with the environment and backgrounds are neat. There was some nice poetry as well. Intense scenes that caught me off guard and slight puzzles, parts to complete. So far, Mae, the main character, is super lovable and relatable. The sound effects too, it really puts the game together! Another thing is that there was a fun mini-game similar to guitar hero, it's because Mae plays the bass and used to play for a band. So far, it seems like the game is big on exploring and learning more about Mae and the world surrounding her, including her past. She dropped out of college and moved back home to a place not many people, including herself, are a fan of.
I've heard a lot of good reviews / recommendations in the past so I decided to look into it, and I'm glad I did! It has a nice indie touch and the art makes it special. It feels like Mae, the character you play, is an artsy kid and likes thinking out loud, sometimes drawing it out. I like to see how she interprets the world around her and interacts with it. I'm kind of behind when it comes to this game because it came out in 2017 and I'm just now finding out about it and playing it. I'll try and play it again, I like the look and feel of it a bunch. My cousin also told me you get certain endings if you hang out with certain people more. Though I'm not too far into it, I feel as though it's a really nice game! It can get slightly tiring reading through a lot of the dialogue and examinations but it's nice to see what the characters have to say. The art is what kept me and drove me in more than anything else, it has a cozy feel to it. Ending things off, I'll definitely try and play it again.
Even before doing much, the title screen and music was mesmerizing. I went to the settings and the design was very creative! The game is based off of being a detective, and I thought it was neat how it was a request form and you could see your table behind it, the quality was surprisingly well done, even from a simple settings screen. I start the game and it immediately immerses me inside a very atmospheric cut-scene, as it went on, suspense and a bit of horror was introduced and the graphics were jaw-dropping. Hardly anything has happened yet but I'm VERY impressed. The UI has such a nice look to it too. Graphics wise? It's off the charts compared to the games I've played in the past. Next, the character design, the artists did an amazing job. With the environment, the outfits and looks felt very fitting, and the main character has heterochromia, I don't see that often in games! It turns out it was a fake eye but it's so interesting... it happens to be that there's an AI built in to help solve crime. I'm intrigued so far, not only with the art and design, but the choices are nice, interacting with the other police members and all, then the AI who feels like a friend, especially when they have a name. It helps me look at the crime-scene without bothering it.
I've seen a game quite similar to this one, called the Nonary Games. It looks similar with the idea of many different choices, leading into a flow-chart, and it looks pretty similar at a glance. I really enjoyed it, story, puzzles, character design and all, so far this is the same but even better and draws me in even more! I had an issue with the introduction of the other game, but so far, AI: The Somnium Files isn't having trouble bringing me into the game. I like the exploring function and learning more about the world around me. It took me a bit to understand more of the functions and puzzles within the game, but with time you learn more and get more accustomed to it, along with just pushing for clues.
My favorite parts would be the graphics. They really pull me in and keep my attention, they're really satisfying too. The game makes it so I want to learn more and go on in the story with interesting mechanics and I feel like I'm becoming smarter with what topics the game talks about. It's fun to solve the puzzle and learn more about different clues and the past, with different mysteries and unknown thoughts / memories, it makes me want to play more so I can learn more about the characters and the general story. Though it would be nice to play more with the mechanics and explore around more too. I'll definitely be playing this one again, it seems like a game you just have to go back to every now and again because there's just something so special about it!
