Ko Kret: A Place to Visit
Even though Ko Kret is a small island with mostly Mon people living there, it has a lot to offer visitors. You can find six temples (one is old and empty), a mosque, two schools, and a hospital. The most famous temple is Wat Paramai Yikawat, which is very old and has a leaning tower.
Today, people come to Ko Kret to learn about the Mon culture and see how they make pottery. You can rent a bike and explore the island, or try some special Mon food that you can’t find anywhere else.
You can take a boat to Ko Kret from a few different places. But remember, the island is only open on weekends and holidays from 9am to 5:30pm.
