Spicy and Delicious. Between these and sorrel, you don't even need dressing on your salad. We grow two varieties right now. Green Wave, which is a broad leaf mustard green and Ruby Streaks which is a delicate finely serrated green.
HOW TO STORE: Like a lot of greens they should be stored in the fridge in a sealed container, kept just a little bit moist. They are actually brassicas (like Kale, Brocolli, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Brussels Sprouts) and so generally have a little more hardiness to them than some more tender greens.
HOW TO USE: Great on salads or sandwiches. Just a little bit of these can add a serious flavor kick to the meal. They are one of my (Brad's) favorite foods. They also would make a great flavorful addition to a pesto.
