One Book, One Galway Initiative.
One Book, One Galway Initiative.
Under this initiative DEIS schools across Galway read the same book, at the same time. Schools are then invited to take part in a quiz. Under the guidance of Mr Silke our school won the Storm Keepers Island Quiz in 2019
Here at Colaiste Einde, we have a long link with One Book, One Galway. We have taken part in this for over ten years.
Our First Year classes, along with their English Teachers read the book in class.
The One Book, One Galway book this year was 'The Boy in the Back of the Class' by author Onjali Q. Raúf .

The book was launched by the Mayor of Galway, Mike Cubbard.
One student from each first year class and one teacher were invited to attend!
Our school's trad group provided the entertainment at the event.
