Leon is a dynamic dancer and instructor whose journey began with competitive ballroom in 2017. After winning an amateur rhythm competition, his passion quickly shifted to the vibrant world of social partner dances, including Bachata, Kizomba, UrbanKiz, Blues, and Fusion.
Since moving to Hillsboro, Oregon, in 2022, Leon has become a well-known figure in the local dance scene, sharing his love for the connection, creativity, and community of these styles. He has assisted and led classes, and as a member of DanceMode Productions, he had the thrill of performing at the Waterfront Blues Festival.
As of Spring 2024, you can find Leon teaching and helping to build the local Kizomba scene alongside his dance partner, Colleen Carris.
