Founder of Lines Dance Academy
More than 30 years ago, Anita began her journey in the world of dance with a humble dream and an immense passion. Her first classes took place in homes, school patios, and garages — simple spaces where a vision was born that continues to inspire generations: the belief that dance can unite, heal, and transform lives.
Through hard work, consistency, and a deep love for the art, Anita officially founded Lines Dance Academy 18 years ago in Hillsboro, Oregon. Since then, her dedication has shaped hundreds of students who have found in the academy a second home filled with discipline, joy, and family.
More than a teacher, Anita is a mother of three sons — Benny, Bryant, and Brandon — who grew up surrounded by music, performances, and the inspiring example of their parents. Today, they are the new leaders and proud owners of the academy, carrying on the legacy their mother began.
Together with her husband Mere, who has been the driving force, mentor, and pillar behind every step of Lines, Anita transformed a simple dream into a powerful story of family, faith, and perseverance.
Over the years, Lines Dance Academy has achieved recognition not only locally but also internationally, as its dancers have taken their art to stages around the world — representing Oregon and the United States with passion, talent, and heart.
Lines Dance Academy is much more than a dance school — it is the reflection of a dream that began in a garage and grew to become a symbol of unity, art, and love across borders.
