Lying is bad and every lie is two lies - the lie we tell others and the lie we tell ourselves to justify it.
Essentially, those two morals are very similar. Both of them do not condone lying. Basically, they both mean that we should be honest with people, because when we lie our way out of something, the truth will eventually come out and people around us will not trust us as much. Even if we manage to pull through with a lie, we will end up lying more to prevent the truth from revealing itself. It does not matter if it is a white lie or not, it is always better to tell the truth. Lying makes us delusional and sometimes we can lose ourselves in the deceitful and perfidious way of thinking.
We are all unique and special. We are all different but diversity is valuable.
Each of us has something important is a beautiful moral that should be spread amongst us. We tend to compare ourselves to our peers but that is not what we should be doing at all. Everyone should do their own thing and pursue their own dreams without being pressured into “fitting in”. We should embrace our differences, and even though it is hard we should accept and support everyone despite their supposedly odd behaviour, hobbies or looks.
Diversity is something we should treasure. Many people are afraid of it but it is a beautiful thing. You should not try to blend in with other people. We all should embrace our differences and quirks. After all, life would be dull without change.
There are always answers. We just have to be smart enough.
This moral encourages us to keep trying when we approach an obstacle in our lives. We should relentlessly attempt to solve our problems while broadening our horizons.
Never judge a book by its cover.
It is rather a popular saying, however many people fail to realize its value. Us, humans instinctively judge something by its looks and this moral is an attempt to stop this stigma. We should not assume things by something’s looks, because for all we know a deeper meaning might be hidden, a meaning that would completely change our outlook.
In the momentum of everyday life it is easy to lose your way and hard to find it again.
This moral is a little but different from the previous ones because it brings awareness rather than teaching us something. It brings light to the dullness. It is showing us that losing our way is not uncommon, and that we should solve it rather than give up under the boredom, dullness, sadness or any other factor that would make us tired of living. It also motivates us to think outside the box.
