Turkey is a bridge that connects Asia and Europe. Also,Turkey is in the North East hemisphere.
Turkey is surrounded by three land parts.It has four coastlines. These seas are Black Sea, Marmara Sea, Aegean Sea and Mediterranean Sea.
The government system in Turkey is Republic which was founded by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk on the twenty ninth of October,1923. So, the monarchy was abolished
The currency is Turkish Lira.
The population is about eighty five millions.
There are many different cultures in Turkey. So we have a rich culture and history.
There are many historical and natural places to visit for tourists; Ephesus Ancient city is in İzmir. Many nations have lived there.
Capadocia is in Nevşehir. Lots of tourists visit there and this area is originated from the lava that was caused by Erciyes, Hasan and Güllüdağ Mountains.
Pamukkale is the biggest district of Denizli. There are Pamukkale Travertines and they have been on the list of UNESCO since 1988.
Nemrut Mountains is in Adıyaman. There are sculptures. Also Nemrut Mountain is on the list of UNESCO.
On the other hand we have a great cuisine. Turkish food is mouth pleasing for many people.
ISTANBUL
Istanbul is very important place in the world. Istanbul became the biggest and the most crowded city of Europe. Because, its location between Asia and Europe, the city always had a great geopolitical importance. The city population is nearly 16 millions.
İstanbul was conquered by Fatih Sultan Mehmet during the Ottoman Empire.
It’s former name is Konstantinopolis.
It has been the center of the world both in a cultural and architectural way and it hosted many cultures. It has been the capital of the world.
Around 2 millions tourists visit İstanbul every year. They want to see the historical and natural beauties of the city. The city has a lots of historical mosques, churchs and museums of Turkey.
