Istituto Omnicomprensivo San Salvo

In the Institute there are three different school levels: - KINDERGARTEN - PRIMARY SCHOOL - LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOL- UPPER SECONDARY SCHOOL, where three classes are music experts. The staff includes 180 teachers, 25 staff and 1,600 students. It is situated in the southern part of the province of Chieti, on the border with the Molise region. The town of San Salvo has got about 20,000 inhabitants of which 8% are immigrants from Eastern Europe. The main activities and projects of IC1 San Salvo are classified by five educational areas: STEM - Languages and Music - ICTs - Inclusion - Active Citizenship. The school has been involved in different Erasmus Plus projects so far thanks to every lively and motivated workgroup of teachers of all schoolsubjects, including support for students with special needs. The main reason for joining an ErasmusProject as a partner is the new chance to exchange good practices and contribute to school teaching strategies improvement thanks to the Istituto teachers’ expertise and experience in various fields. Moreover, their deep knowledge of the use of social media and networks, the eTwinning platform first of all, may be a great chance for the dissemination of the project ideals and objectives.
