Silute Zibai Primary School

Our school is Zibai primary school with 280 pupil (age 7-11) and 18 teachers. Education field – pre-primary and primary education. Our goals – to provide primary education, develop pupils’ creativity, teaching individualization and differentiation, participation in various projects, competitions. Our school has 34 pupils with special needs, learning difficulties and pupils coming from families with low income. Subjects we teach – math, lithuanian, art, maths, music, PE, English, science, dancing. Reading is one of the most important processes in a child's life. Reading books encourages critical thinking, improves memory, enriches the imagination, stimulates creativity, develops focus, and improves learning outcomes. The problem. According to the results of TIMSS and PIRLS, the reading achievement in schools is not high. Therefore, one of the most important goals of our school is to encourage pupils to read as much as possible and to improve pupils' reading skills by applying learning environment and tools that are attractive to them.

​For the second year, the school is participating in the Leaders' Time 3 project - Shared Responsibility and Collaboration for Child Success. The team aims are to create a sustainable model of shared responsibility and collaboration for child success. This model increases the opportunity to share experiences and collaborate with district, national and foreign educational institutions.
