State Contest - Wildlife

Contest Format

At the state contest, Juniors and Intermediates are tested on wildlife creature identification. You will see taxidermied animals in an outdoors setting.  (Stuffed and preserved animals.)

Intermediates may also be required to identify some animals by sound (birds and amphibians) or tracks (mammals).

Here is the full list of animals on the contest.  The state contest website has a study guide with images of the tracks and info on the frog/bird calls that are tested.
