Forest Management & Quiz Bowl - State Contest
Contest Format
At the Forest Management station on the State Contest, Seniors will answer multiple choice questions on a paper test.
During the Quiz Bowl at the State Contest, Seniors will answer questions verbally as a team.
The questions for both of these contest sections will come from the same resources that are available on the state contest website and compiled here along with learning slides and flashcards to help you practice the material.
To study for these sections of the contest:
Read the Forestry Manuals (A, B, C-2) and review the learning slides that go with each of them.
Read the Invitational Handbook Study Guide (Understanding/Facts, Laws, Forest History, Measuring/Surveying).
After reading the material, use the Quizlets to practice the material.
Glossary quizlets will help you study the terms and concepts.
Quiz Bowl Practice quizlets are sample questions they could use.

A few sections from the 4-H National Invitational Handbook are tested in the Florida contest. The 2019 Study Guide found on the state contest Quiz Bowl page has the pertinent sections. (Ignore the 2014 Invitational pg 41-50 on the state contest Forest Management page, it has a subset of the content, but nothing you won't cover if you read the 2019 Study Guide and Glossaries above.)
Only some of these can be made into Quizlets, the rest should just be read and reviewed.
