Make valuable video tutorials for quality learning resources for your students, or have them make the resources! Tutorials and online lessons can help enhance a student’s ability to understand classroom concepts and content. Posting teacher-created tutorials or developing student assessments, teachers can make their YouTube Channel more engaging and more widely used (even outside of your school). An overview of tools to use when making tutorials will be covered, including iPad app Vittle, Quicktime, Screencast-o-Matic, Chrome extensions for screen casting, and document cameras / iDevices will be presented. Participants in this session will discuss strategies to create quality videos, including consistency, time considerations, delivery, and how basic branding techniques can develop into highly prized learning materials. You'll learn to make Google Forms quizzes for your videos. Participants will brainstorm ideas for innovative uses of YouTube in the classroom.
