DECODE (2025-2026)
Objective of the Game:
The objective of DECODE is to score more points than the opposing alliance by collecting balls, called artifacts, and shooting them into alliance goals. Teams can earn bonus points by matching artifacts into specific patterns in the classifier, and by parking at the end of the match.
For each round, each team is randomly aligned with another team, and two alliance groups are matched up against each other. Each match starts with a 30-second autonomous section in which the robot operates with no drivers, only preset programming and sensor input. After auto is the TeleOp (driver-controlled) period, where drive teams control their robots to pick up the artifacts from the field and score them in the goals. These artifacts are stored in the classifier, which can store 9 total. The gate lever can be pressed to release the artifacts back into the field to be scored again.
In the final 30 seconds of the match, called endgame, drivers can choose to continue scoring artifacts or park, earning points. At the end of Auto and TeleOp, bonus points are awarded for every artifact in the classifier matching the pattern.
