Power Play (2022-2023)
Power Play (2022-2023)
Objective of the Game: In this year's 2022-2023 tournament, the objective, as always, is to accumulate as many points as possible. This year, points can be collected by placing hard plastic cones onto both poles and designated spaces erected from the arena floor called "junctions." There are a total of three types of poles defined by their respective heights: "small," "medium," and "large," as well as a ground terminal on the floor of the arena, with the tallest of the poles being 33'' tall. The robot must be agile enough to avoid knocking cones off of ground terminals, as this will result in a penalty.
Points are given to players for the following:
Autonomous mode points
Placing a cone onto a pole or ground terminal
"Owning" a ground terminal or pole. This means by the end of the match, your alliance has their color cone on top of the stack of cones on said junction, or has placed their custom team beacon on the pole.
Creating a "circuit," or continuous line of owned junctions from one of your alliance terminals to the other (each alliance has two terminals on opposite corners of the arena)
Parking your robot at the end of the match
