The Lao Association of Midwife is a professional association of volunteers who are devoted to the improved health of the citizens of Lao PDR by fostering access to midwifery education, influencing health policy, developing midwifery networks and strengthening midwifery leadership.

2019/11/20: Ministry of Health supported by UNFPA launched Emergency Obstetric Care (EmOC) training for midwife in September 2019. Report of the first training in Vientiane capital is available here. Lao Association of Midwife will support further roll out of the EmOC training from 2020.
