You may find yourself asking, “Now what?” after being referred to Dr. Langley.
Here’s what you can expect:
Referral made – You see your Provider (Family Doctor, Nurse Practitioner, Emergency Department, or Walk-In) and they send a referral to us.
Referral received – Once it arrives, we enter your information into our system.
Important: We can only process complete referrals. If information is missing, we must wait until your Provider sends the required details.
Triage – We review your referral, supporting documents, and assign a priority level.
Referral Acknowledgment – A letter is sent to your referring Provider confirming we received the referral and outlining current wait times.
If a cell phone or email has been provided, you will receive a generic referral acknowledgment message.
Booking – Your appointment is scheduled. If diagnostic imaging is needed, we fax the request to CKHA or Erie Shores
Information Package – You will receive a package by Canada Post with:
Your appointment date and time
Details about our office
Any bloodwork or imaging needed before your visit
Confirmation – Please read through the package carefully and call, text, or email to confirm.
FAILURE TO CONFIRM MINIMUM 7 DAYS PRIOR may result in your appointment being rebooked.
After your visit with Dr. Langley, please check in with the admin team before leaving to receive your next appointment details.
If your appointment takes place at a location other than Heritage Road, we will do our best to send you a text or email with the next appointment information the same day.
If you have not heard from us within 10 days of seeing Dr.Langley, please contact our office.
