The best way to see if sailing is right for you is to visit the Lake Fenton Sailing Club on a Wednesday around 5:30 PM or Sunday around 10:00 AM Memorial Weekend through Labor Weekend annually.
Talk to a club member and let them know you’re interested. They will help connect you with someone who can get you out on a boat. If the first boat isn’t a good fit, feel free to try others.

Fun For The Sailing Family
The Lake Fenton Sailing Club (LFSC) is a nonprofit founded in 1937 and incorporated in 1965. Our mission is to promote competitive sailing and provide fun for families.
The club is located on the northeast shore of Lake Fenton, just north of Fenton, Michigan. It’s about 15 minutes from Flint, 45 minutes from Lansing and Ann Arbor, and about an hour from Detroit.
Membership gives families full access to the club’s facilities. The two-story clubhouse sits on a two-acre lot. The lower level has changing areas, restrooms, showers, and a kitchen. The upper level includes a large event space, bar and lounge, restrooms, and a kitchen. Parking is available on site.
LFSC also offers a boat launch ramp, hoist, docks, and mooring areas for boats. There’s a safe swimming area, a sandbox for children, and picnic tables for members and guests.
