MC Scow Fleet #6

 The LFSC MC Scow fleet is our largest single-handed fleet at LFSC and provides the competitive sailor with a great opportunity for close one-on-one competition. Less experienced sailors will find that they are as welcome as the most seasoned and that fleet members are ready to share their techniques, secrets, and provide friendly coaching.

The MC Scow is a great boat for sailors at any level of experience. It's an unexpectedly stable boat weighing 420 pounds at 16 feet, simple to rig, and not complicated to manage on the water. The MC is a fast boat, usually sailed by one person, and sometimes with a crew when the wind pipes up. Used boats are available at very reasonable prices, and because the class is tightly managed, older boats remain competitive.
