Lagungarri is a Basque word that combines two fundamental concepts for our community:
Lagun, meaning friend or companion.
Garri, a suffix that can be translated as something that illuminates, helps, or fosters.
Together, Lagungarri is interpreted as "something or someone that fosters friendship or collaboration." This name reflects the values that guide our project: cooperation, mutual support, and building a community based on meaningful and supportive relationships.
At Lagungarri, we believe that living together is not just about sharing a physical space but also about creating a home where each person contributes and receives in balance, generating an environment where everyone can thrive.
The Lagungarri logo depicts two snails sheltered under the same roof, symbolizing the essential values of our community:
The snail: Represents the independence and autonomy of each member, as, like snails, every person has their own "home." At Lagungarri, each resident has a private space that provides security and comfort.
The shared roof: Symbolizes the spirit of collaboration and mutual support. Under this common roof, we create a space for living together, where sharing experiences, resources, and care is fundamental to the project.
The design also conveys calm, sustainability, and a connection to the natural environment—key aspects of Lagungarri's philosophy.
