My curiosity about the brain, mind, and psychological processes began while I was studying philosophy for several years. Later, I decided to pursue a more applied career, which led me to study psychology. I obtained my degree in Psychology from the National University of Colombia.
After that, I completed a Master’s degree in Neuroscience at the Complutense University of Madrid. I am currently pursuing my PhD at the University of the Basque Country under the supervision of Edgar Soria-Gómez and Juan Manuel Encinas, where I study how neuronal hyperactivity can affect behavior using techniques such as in vivo electrophysiology, fiber photometry, and immunohistology.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, having good conversations over coffee and politics, plants, practicing acroyoga, and relaxing on the sofa.
